Client’s profile




- Ensure the governance of projects and initiatives in terms of organizational, financial, technological and contractual aspects, assuring the achievement of the established objectives;

- Plan, coordinate and control the execution of the project, in accordance with the Client requirements, within time and cost constrains and in compliance with HSE and Quality procedures ;

- Achieve profit objectives ensuring the observance of the company procedures and practices;

During the Bidding Phase:

- Identify Tender Documents requirements and constraints which may prevent a successful project execution;

- Ensure the definition and preparation of the Project Execution Plan addressing in particular how to manage potential risks in all critical areas of design, procurement of project materials and subcontracting services, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning and supervise the definition / preparation of the Project Execution Schedule;

- Support, in coordination with the Technical Management Function and the Project Control Management Function, the Proposal Manager in defining the Work Breakdown Structure;

- Estimate the Project home office and site management resources and prepare, supported by the other project organization roles, the Organization Charts and the Project Mobilization Plan;

- Provide support, as necessary, to the Proposal Manager (for negotiation / clarification with Client and/or Partners and/or Nominated Subcontractors as far as the concerned management, split of work consolidation, project cash flow definition, Initial Project Architecture preparation and handover to execution phase).

During the Project Execution Phase:

- Represent Company towards Clients, Licensors, Partners and Subcontractors managing contractual aspects;

- Behave in accordance with the company leadership Model and make sure the full Project Management Team does the same;

- Ensure the proper analysis and the review of contractual documents;

- Ensure the implementation of methodologies related to risk/opportunity, knowledge management, lessons learned, cost of non-quality and the respect of Company Golden Rules and Silver Guide Lines;

- Ensure the implementation of the project strategies and the project activities planning (Project Execution Plan, Quality Plan, Procurement Plan, HSE Plan, Fabrication Plan, Installation Plan, etc.);

- Supervise all project activities with regards to Quality, HSE and Sustainability topics supported by the other project organization roles;

- Stay abreast of the evolution of and implement the project management tools and methodologies;

- Ensure the issue and the implementation of all required home office and site procedures;

- Approve and supervise planning and cost control activities supported by the other project organization roles, implementing the corrective actions needed to achieve the established project objectives and ensure the issue of project reports (including the economics);

- Facilitate generation of Project and Portfolio Dashboards / reports to the Division Management;

- Supervise home office engineering and procurement activities supported by the other project organization roles;

- Supervise site/yard and offshore activities supported by the other project organization roles;

- Negotiate with the Client to reach agreement on the outstanding pricing, commercial, contractual and technical aspects of the variation orders;

- Ensure the issue of project reports to the Client;

- Maintain a valuable trusting relationship with the Client and monitor its satisfaction, supported by the other project organization roles;

- Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the work place, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements;

- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Project Director.



- Higher education, Minimum Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Naval or Structural Engineering;

- Minimum 10 years of international experience in Project Engineering / Project Management within oil and gas Offshore Engineering and Construction industry;

- 4-5 years of international experience as a Project Manager on medium to large scale and high complexity projects including the below areas:

- Subsea Field Development Engineering

- Offshore Methods Engineering

- Minimum 5 years of international experience as Installation Engineer offshore within oil and gas industry;

- Knowledge of Languages:   English (fluent), Azerbaijani (fluent);

- Capability to read, analyse and interpret commercial contracts;

- Knowledge of methodologies, equipment and key issues related to fabrication / construction / installation and commissioning activities;

- Knowledge of methodologies for managing contracts and subcontracts, claims, changes, back-charges, variations;

- Capability to manage internal interfaces among different functions and external interfaces with client, vendors, subcontractors and third parties;

- Capability to manage structuring, sequencing, duration, estimating and scheduling of activities and/or work packages, including the assignment of resources to activities, identifying project deadlines and monitoring and controlling their timely execution;

- Capability to define project scope in order to meet the needs and expectations of the interested parties, especially those of the clients and users. Capability to produce the agreed end results, especially the deliverables, in the time-frame required, within budget and within acceptable parameters of risk;

- Capability to plan and optimise the way resources (people, materials and infrastructure required to carry out project activities) are utilised in the project time schedule as well as their continuous monitoring and control;

- Familiarity and knowledge of general QA/QC requirements, ensuring proper implementation and interpretation of the guidelines defined by the QA/QC plans;

- Knowledge and understanding of HSE procedures and Project requirements for all project phases;

- Capability to estimate the cost of each work package, the sub-systems and the whole project and to establish the budget for the overall project.

- Knowledge and application of methodologies, tools and techniques of risk management;

- Knowledge of methodologies related to the main procurement cycle steps, e.g. requirements, negotiation and contract, service delivery and performance monitoring, renewal, retendering or exit.
