Category Manager

Responsibilities
- Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends (IT, Mobile, TV accessories)
- Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
- Place appropriate sell out and sell inn forecasts, orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
- Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
- Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories
- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
- Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category
- Responsible for showcasing strong leadership & entrepreneurial activities within the category
Requirements
- Proven experience as category manager or similar role- between 2-4 years of work experience
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience of Excel including Macros, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience of managing cross-functional teams
- Previous responsibility for strategic development, product management or product marketing, revenue targets and quotas is highly desirable
- Excellent marketing skills, a feel for customer needs, as well as a high degree of innovative prowess
- Languages – Azeri (good/fluent), Russian (good), English (good/fluent)
