 Responsibilities​

  • Advocate technical solutions and execution methods in response to calls for tender and by respecting customer’s specifications;
  • Develop and propose the budget for the Engineering and design office to management and ensures compliance;
  • Coordinate and lead a team of specialists;
  • Maintain and develop skills and know-how;
  • Establish engineering operational strategies by evaluating engineering trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing engineering systems;
  • Develop engineering financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances;
  • Determine engineering project feasibility by conferring with other organization directors; identifying requirements and resource utilization; studying available technology; conferring with engineering consultants; completing cost-benefit studies; estimating costs;
  • Accomplish engineering projects by planning, assembling, and managing resources; planning and controlling changeover;
  • Provide technical information by analyzing operational problems, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing technical data and trends;
  • Update job knowledge by tracking updates in regulations and codes; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations;
  • Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed;
  • Work with Production to ensure the technical roadmap is understood and meets needs;
  • Find simplicity in solving complex problems across teams.
  • Maintain credibility with engineers and participate in technical discussions.

 

Requirements 

  • Strong and convincing communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Min. 10 years of professional experience required.
  • Min. 5 years experience in engineering management role.
